Ken Cabada was voted the best newcomer in the National League for his solid performance last month.
In August, the Philadelphia first baseman posted a .345 average while racking up 29 hits, 3 home runs and 14 RBIs.
Cabada currently has a .273 batting average with 79 hits, 11 homers, 43 RBIs, 33 runs scored and a .328 OBP.

Atlanta was pleased to see so many goose eggs up on the scoreboard today as Chad Billingsley blanked Philadelphia 3-0. He stopped them on 4 hits with no walks and 5 strikeouts.
His skipper said, "Once he gets in a groove, he can be dynamite. He was on top of his game in this one."
This season Billingsley has registered 11 wins and 9 losses in 27 starts with a 3.66 ERA.

The National League made it official today: Ken Cabada is the Player of the Week.
He really sparkled on the diamond this week with a .519 average to take home the trophy. The Philadelphia first baseman went 14-27, drove in 11 runs, scored 5 times and hit 2 home runs.
This season in 107 games, Cabada has hit at a .285 clip with 72 hits, 11 home runs, 43 RBIs and 32 runs scored.
