It was Kansas City and Washington challenging one other in the 2014 Major League Baseball Dreams World Series this season. On paper, there wasn't much difference between the two strong ballclubs, but on the field, the verdict went to the Royals.
It was the 1st for the new league champions. They defeated the Nationals 4-3 in the series, winning the last game today by a 3-2 score.

 | Friday, September 19th, 2014: Phillippe Aumont Out for 1-2 Weeks
Washington fans held their breath as Phillippe Aumont left yesterday's Phillies-Nationals contest with an injury. After the game, the team's medical staff said that the 25-year-old starting pitcher had suffered a finger blister while throwing a pitch. It's estimated that he will be out 1-2 weeks.
Currently Aumont has a record of 16-3 with 197 strikeouts and 75 walks in 190 innings and a 2.94 ERA.

Albert Pujols of Washington was a smashing success this week, winning the Player of the Week Award in the National League.
He hit everything the pitchers threw at him, hammering them for a .611 batting average, going 11 for 18 with 2 home runs, 7 RBIs and scoring 7 times.
This season in 139 games Pujols is batting .318 with 17 home runs, 83 RBIs and has scored 106 times.
