He will be out of the lineup at least 2 weeks. He told SION reporters, "I just felt a sharp pain when it happened. I knew there was something wrong."
Checking out his stats for the season, Frend has notched 8 wins and 10 losses in 28 starts, 5.07 ERA and struck out 193 batters in 159.2 innings. |  | Friday, August 15th, 2014: Fasano 5-5 for Astros Jim Fasano put on a hitting clinic today as the Astros dumped the Cubs 17-2 at Minute Maid Park. The Houston first baseman sprayed hits all over the ballpark by lashing Chicago (N) pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats in the game.
He told SION reporters after the game, that he just hit it where they pitched it. "Too often I try to pull the ball too much. Today I just went with the pitch."
J. Fasano singled in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off R. Morales in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off K. Hindle in the 5th and walked in the 8th.

It was a good day for Milwaukee and an exceptional day for Horado Esparraguera. The 26-year-old first baseman sent 3 bombs out of the park to help the Brewers beat the Houston Astros 15-6 at Miller Park.
Following the game, he was asked about his performance. "When you're in the zone, the game really slows down," Esparraguera commented, "I couldn't even tell you what pitches were thrown. Today feels great, but it is a long season and tomorrow is another day."
