Monday, September 1st, 2014: Diamondbacks Gonzalez August's #1 Pitcher
August's elite pitcher was Enrique Gonzalez of Arizona. He silenced National League hitters the entire month and claimed the Pitcher of the Month award with 5 wins and no losses in 6 starts.

Gonzalez restricted opposing hitters to a .149 batting average. He rang up 32 strikeouts in 44 innings of work, surrendered 11 walks and crafted a 2.05 ERA.

This week's Player of the Week was Justin Upton of the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Monday, August 18th, 2014: Ramirez Bashes 5 Base Hits
All game long Arizona's Aramis Ramirez was rattling the walls at Chase Field and banging out base hits against the Atlanta Braves. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 5-hit day and the Diamondbacks had a 15-7 victory.

Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 36-year-old third baseman said, "Get 5 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this."

A. Ramirez singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, flied out in the 6th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and hit a two-run single in the 8th.

Currently Ramirez is batting .262 with 117 hits and 17 home runs. He has knocked in 75 runs and scored 61 times.
