Thursday, October 2nd, 2014: Santanna Signs for 4 years
The Los Angeles (N) Dodgers have finalized a deal with All Star-caliber starting pitcher Car Santanna that will extend his stay in Los Angeles (N) at least 4 years and will pay out $37,560,000.

Thus far this season, Santanna has worked 208 innings with 230 strikeouts en route to a 17-6 record and a 2.81 ERA.
Monday, September 1st, 2014: Beltran Gets Number 2500!
It was a banner day for Carlos Beltran, who collected his 2500th hit in the Colorado 5-1 win over Los Angeles (N). Beltran went 1-1 in the game as both Rockies and Dodgers fans cheered Beltran, when he reached base after his historic hit.

"It feels great to get #2500," Beltran said afterward, "especially since we won the game."

During his career Beltran has hit .281 with 2500 hits, 368 home runs, 1405 RBIs and scored 1458 runs.
Sunday, August 31st, 2014: Giants Triumph, Whitewash Los Angeles (N)
Rick Langman of the San Francisco Giants really strutted his stuff on the mound today with a 9-0 victory. He was almost untouchable, bewildering the Los Angeles (N) Dodgers with a 3-hit shutout in which he struck out 8 and gave up no walks.

In 27 starts this year Langman has posted 9 wins while suffering 8 losses. He has pitched 177.2 innings, allowed 154 hits, struck out 154 and has a 3.09 ERA.
